December 22, 2023 - Delicious, classic bordeaux. Balanced, smooth, still plenty of dark fruit , would probably keep but awesome now

January 16, 2023 - The 2009 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is really very good with pretty, mixed red and black fruit, mineral, pencil, and a touch of chervil. I like the slightly svelte profile, limber, energetic, classic. The Petit Verdot was particularly good this year and it all ended up in Les Fiefs - none in the Grand Vin.

March 27, 2022 - Quite sweet and concentrated blackcurrant flavours with a welcome cool middle section, perhaps tending towards jammy flavours on the finish. For me this needs a little longer.

    January 21, 2022 - 1/3, very good cork. Decanted 1/2 hour.
Medium/deep ruby core, narrow pale rim. Nose shows red fruit, cedar, touch of vanilla. Quite youthful. Medium bodied with attractive cedary red fruit, pencil lead notes, touch of gravelly mineral, fine tannins, lovely vibrant acidity, pleasantly grippy finish. This is very good indeed, nudging excellent. To 2030ish.

June 28, 2021 - Drank over 2 days, best on day 1. This is smooth, fruity, nicely in balance. Drink up in the coming years.

January 9, 2021 - Solid wine, but in my view the current prices of 20-25€ per bottle are definitely overpriced. I would then go for a modest St. Emilion.

March 31, 2020 - 2nd wine of Chateau Lagrange. This bottle is drinking nicely, but not overly complex. Dark purple in the glass. Good nose. Good blackcurrant on the palate. The finish is fresh and smooth.

March 29, 2020 - surprisingly good - not sure whether it is the vintage or the chateau, maybe both, but it had a lovely balance of fruit and tannins - will probably improve from here
