April 8, 2019 - 1 hour decant. Dry nice wine. I would give it a medium body. Had a bit of alcohol on the nose that was not evident in the taste. Evened out over the evening. Could likely still use a 2+ hour decant.

March 25, 2019 - One of the better second wines from the right bank, this is a strong vintage of Virginie. The fruit is ripe, red, and bright, and there are some nice herbs, dark chocolate, and tobacco to complement. Medium bodied on the palate, and quite lush and silky. 14%ABV is handled very well and stick out a bit. Fresh finish with good structured acidity. This is probably drinking at or near its peak, but I think it should drink well for the next 5-10 years, depending on your preferred maturity level.

March 10, 2019 - Second Sunday Group: 2009 Bordeaux (R&D's): Double blind. Deep garnet color turning just a bit lighter towards the meniscus. Immediately appealing bouquet of cherry, red berry fruit and earth. Slightly tannic, almost austere on the palate. Opens quite a bit with additional time in the glass, allowing the fruit- primarily red- to come forward on fill out on the palate. Expressive and lovely old world Bordeaux nose. For most of the tasting this was my #1.

    My #2, Domino's #2
    Group #1, 47 pts

March 9, 2019 - Had earlier tonight at a restaurant called True Food. One hour decanting but can use more air so I recommend three hours in the decanter. Very good wine for the money. A bit on the lighter side but in a good way. Last glass was the best. Good finish!
