March 29, 2016 - Came off as a bit tired, and may have in fact peaked. Not flawed, just flat and a bit thin. Telltale apple and nectarine notes, very clean, but little minerality and no noticeable lift.

June 7, 2014 - Tonight the 2009 Inox is not showing its very best side, it is simply a bit beyond its drinking window. On the other hand, the wine is still interesting and a pleasure to drink. The lovely fruit is more or less totally replaced by more vivid minerals like wet granite. Of course there still is a fruit component but it is very subdued. Acidity is very balanced but the length on the finish is too suffering from age. I am sure some tasters would prefer the wine like this - but I do not, still it is very interesting and quite compelling to drink.

August 9, 2013 - A lovely wine, with deep profound fruit which is so unmistakingly Chardonnay I am quite amazed. This is a schoolbook example of what un-oaked blocked malo Chardonnay could actually be like. Despite the purity, the wine comes across as rather fleshy and extravagant tonight. There is a lot of elegance to be found, but the nose is surely not shy. The palate is nicely integrated and there is a perfect balance between the overall body and the acidity. This is a brilliant effort - which drinks perfectly at present.

This wine was tasted alongside a 2007 W Fevre Grand Cru Chablis Bougros Côte des Bouguerots. This is probably the reason why it comes around as a bit massive and perhaps extravagant. The Chablis was all about elegance and as it should be - a bit of French restraint.

April 1, 2013 - Good wine with a character that is appealing to the no-malo crowd. Very sharp and precise. Had with a Diatom - the Diatom was far bigger, richer, and broader. Two excellent wines with very different flavor profiles - interesting study.

March 16, 2013 - Developing nicely and providing an immense amount of pleasure tonight. The 2009 Inox Chardonnay is a totally unoaked wine which provides a nose full of beautiful fruit with tones of subtle butterscotch and exotic fruits like lime zest and lychee. The palate is razor sharp and reminds me a whole lot a better dry Riesling with its striking acidity. This wine has kept evolving over the years, but I am not sure if it is any idea to keep in the cellar for much longer, it is simply so good today!
