January 19, 2024 - This is the last bottle we have of this legendary vintage, which we’ve taken time over. 1 hr decant, could arguably use more and I expect it to be better tomorrow. Heavy sediment, dark garnet with lots of blackberry fruit, classic Margaux floral notes, a long, high finish and vegetal background notes, perhaps a hint of camphor. Very pleasant overall and a great match with a steak pie!

December 9, 2023 - A dark colour; rich blackcurrant fruit, ready now but at the younger end of its maturity plateau; intense and quite long. Not the most expressive of clarets, perhaps as a result of the heat of the vintage, but exceptional for a cru bourgeois.

October 24, 2023 - Lovely and expressive wine with plenty of black currant fruit but also a bit of wet leaves, leather and mushrooms. The tertiary aromas are still just present but it is starting to show. This could easily age for a long time but I actually feels that this is in a great drinking window right now. It was very lovely right now!

September 23, 2023 - Rich blackcurrant fruit with a slight sweetness, smooth, concentrated and quite long on the finish. This is very much a modern style of wine, not currently showing much true Bordeaux character. It could have come from anywhere. Very good, even so.

September 23, 2023 - I concur with La Grappe’s Feb 25. note. I would just add it needs a long decant . To me it was significantly better the second day.

March 5, 2023 - From 37,5cl, perfect cork, decanted 1 hour, which it needed. As previously recorded. If you wanted to convince a novice that Bordeaux (or indeed Margaux) offers some of the finest wine bargains in the 20–40 EUR price range, this little beauty (13 EUR/37,5cl en priimeur) would be an excellent choice. 90P

February 25, 2023 - A fine, rich, full-flavoured claret, with ripe blackcurrant fruit and good length. Drinking well now, but with some years to go.

January 22, 2023 - Dark red color. Fragrant smoke, tar, vanilla, and berry nose. Moderate cassis flavor intensity. Soft, forward, medium concentration and finish. Slightly warm aftertaste.
Cork popped about 30 minutes before drinking. This wine is ready-to-drink. A very good wine but lacks real depth and complexity...88.

November 4, 2022 - From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 30 minutes and ready to roll. My first 75cl, but identical to the 37,5cl recorded here on 13.08.2022. Gorgeous now and for +-5 years. 90P

October 1, 2022 - This is a very drinkable wine. Subdued tanins, bright red colour, good nose on opening. Reasonably long taste, encouraging one to have another
