September 14, 2022 - Allowed this to decant for a couple hours. Based upon a sample after popping the cork, this was the right decision. Earthy, tabacco-like nose. Smooth wine, with the Cherry/Plum/Dark Berry flavor struggling to appear. Got more fruit after the decant. Pleasant finish. Interesting wine I had in my cellar since 2012. I was pleasantly surprised!

June 2, 2021 - This wine is from the stable that believes the more concentrated the wine, the better it is.

It's undoubtedly full of flavor, but it's so intense that there's no room for any subtleties or charm. I'd find it hard to drink much more than a glass of it - perhaps in time it will mellow out, but for now it is too much for me.

May 14, 2020 - Ditto my previous review. Excellent. A baby Lynch Bages. Decant this wine! Still rich and soulful even with the sediment left back in bottle. Saddle leather, underbrush and broken branches, mushroom, a bit of a petrol-type thing, and just a touch of underarm. At or just before peak. Also tastes a lot like one of my other favorite off the beaten path Bordeaux— Caronne Ste Ghemme

December 15, 2019 - Winefield's, Pre-sale tasting: Perfect deep and sound colour, black fruit in the dry bouquet, a firm taste and lots of eatable tannins. In its adolescence, so give it a few years to blossom fully.

April 28, 2019 - A: Deep slightly hazy garnet. Sediment apparent. High viscosity
N: Medium (+) nose. Cherries, blackberries, resin, olives, MINT, iodine, mocha, tobacco, wet earth. Fruit is dried.
P: Dry, medium (+) acid, medium (+) tannin, high alcohol (14%), full body, medium (+) intensity and medium (+) finish
C: BLIC? Ticks for BLIC all the way. Under $14 and an outstanding quality effort. Very impressed here. Drink up, i don't see this improving with time.

April 7, 2019 - Peaked. Not as good as last year but could be due to very slight cork leakage. Smooth dark cherries after aeration.

November 22, 2018 - Showing really well, I’m going back for a case at <13€/ bottle. Cherry/cassis/olive/mint at first opening, umami comes out with air, Tannins start slightly clunky but they round out after about an hour, finishes with decent length. Medium bodied, this comes off as a more moderate, almost feminine style. Sleek, nimble, well composed and very well made.
