October 18, 2020 - Clear deep garnet color, no bricking or sedimentation, nice floral aromas with a hint of sandalwood and cinnamon. On the pallet, a pleasing mix of sweet and tart cherry compote, hints of raspberry, cinnamon and spice. Finish is long, with lingering fruit and wood with gentle spice elements, nicely balanced acidity and silky tannins. A very pleasing wine altogether. This is my last bottle. This wine has held up really well, but I’d be cautious about holding it longer.

May 2, 2020 - A relatively soft and easy Oregon Pinot. Nose and notes of raspberry, cherry and rose. Light acidity with tannins still in evidence providing a pepper tang in the wine. Maybe be losing its fruit letting the tannin and acidity show more than in its younger days. Still time left.

December 31, 2018 - On the nose: strawberry-rhubarb jam, cherry soda. Hints of vanilla and cardamom came through on a rather long, satisfying finish. This properly stored 10-year-old bottle was refined and still well balanced. Lovely.

December 28, 2016 - - Aromas of rose, butterscotch and mushroom and has flavours of butterscotch, blackberry, almond and vanilla - Drank Xmas night head to head with Cakebread cabs '08 and'09. The Argyle stood out. Has mellowed out and soft subtle fruit. Wonderful saving a few for later.
