February 21, 2016 - Dark red color with a black cherry and slight green leaf smell. Smooth mouth entry with red and black cherry fruit, a touch of fruit sweetness, an undertow of firm acidity and tannin, and a good overall concentration.

June 29, 2011 - Super floral bouquet, fruity, medium body, absolutely delicious. Wish I had a lot more! Oh well; will try the 2009 on Friday. To date I have never been disappointed with Matt's Paring offerings; great QPR from a great wine maker.

March 7, 2011 - Spicy, peppery and quite savory. Definately better with food. light to medium in body even though it was so dark in color.

January 7, 2011 - Fritzed up at first opening. An acid bath in the mouth. Really out of balance. Day II, same result, poured a large glass and opened up an Bordeaux. Few hours later got a strange dark fruit licorice whift as I passed by. This now looks dark in the glass. More blark licorice, herbs, meat, bit of kerosene? Dark fruit, is this a Pinot? Much more balanced, but still tight acid, tannins are perfect (but this is two days+), big fruit on the palate, following the nose. Nice lingering finish. Very strange experience, nice wine, but nearly got tossed down the drain.

September 5, 2010 - Little brother to Jonata Pinot. Highly drinkable if a little slim in body. Lots of fresh strawberry and good acidity. Next time, a little air might help.
