February 26, 2022 - Wow! Amazing nose: lanolin, wax, honey, citrus, florals, herbs, straw... this is as complex as it gets. 3 hours in the glass and it does not budge. I wonder if this will improve but it should keep on for at least 10 years. Incredible structure and presence, great wine.

July 9, 2017 - from 2013 ex-chateau magnum. a little acetone in the nose at first, pretty ripe, flinty, with lovely lemon citrus notes.

March 8, 2017 - Golden pale yellow. Restraint, intensely mineral nose with quince. Very savory, masculine, non fruity palate. A wine for men may I say. Lean, dry but creamy enough to support its seriousness.

November 28, 2016 - This is a property of which I am very enthusiastic so expectations were high, not disappointed. The wine is terrifically harmonious and complete; very soulful. Preserved lemons mostly in the nose but imbued with an apricot aroma; not bitten nor even cut simply picked up an sniffed deeply. Very supple in the mouth. No reason to wait except for the right occasion.

October 10, 2015 - Following the Coche-Dury Meursault never is easy, but this wine definitely up to the task. Dark, brown, gold yellow. Aromas of lemon cheese, fairly well oxidised (in a good way). Savoury, fat, earth like grapefruits on the palate. Long, lingering, thick finish. We recently sipped the 1970 version, and we thought better. Perhaps this bottle would prefer to sleep a little longer...we can wait for our friend to open another bottle in another decade or so.

April 24, 2015 - LOVE this wine. Showing beautifully with lemony overtones, medium body, and great acid/fruit balance.

November 1, 2014 - HDH Bordeaux Auction; 10/31/2014-11/1/2014 (Chicago, IL): Smells like a patisserie that just finished baking something that had an egg . The palate is really, really eggy and ripe. Doesn't seem like sauvignon blanc at all -- this is incredibly rich but there's a lot of acid to go along with it. Quite good if not exactly what I would expect.

November 1, 2014 - HDH Auction (Tru - Chicago, IL): Smells like lemon meringue pie. Intense lemon notes with some creamy, vanilla-y notes, some peach, and pear notes too. Very deep and dense right now with some caramel, and buttery notes. This does not taste like Sauvginon.
