February 23, 2019 - Decanted with a fair amount of sediment, brandy nose, plenty of ripe black berry fruit on the palate, the finish is a bit hot and astringent. This was bottle number ten of twelve,at nearl a decade old not going to get any better, once the fruit is gone this boxer will be knocked out.
June 28, 2018 - well balanced and full bodied.
December 6, 2017 - Crazy sediment, make sure you let it sit for a bit after the Mollydooker shake. Pretty and full on night one, showing a nice age on night two. Blueberry and vanilla on the nose. Palate is lush and silky with vanilla, blueberry, anise, and a hint of green-ness on the back end. The finish is euphoric with berries and still a note of tannins. Drinking well now, but actually has a few more years to go. 09 was the vintage they didn't produce premium and blended it all into the base cuvees, this is showing those high end notes.
November 19, 2017 - Hot! Huge, extracted, heady, alc burn. Had a little left in the bottle and on night three it had finally settled in a bit. Throwing decent amount sediment by night three too. Big black cherry flavor, ton of punch. I like bold reds but this was over the top even for my tastes. Recommend a splash decant to let some of the heat subside.
May 7, 2017 - Fruit is tasting a bit overextracted and dark. Past it's prime but still a good, full bodied wine.
March 25, 2017 - 9th bottle of the case and this bottle is considerably more tamed than any of the privious bottles, still rich and vibrat, but the jammyness has subsided and secondary nuances are emerging. Drink sooner than later!
June 6, 2016 - Not my style. High alcohol, just way over the top fruit wise.
February 8, 2016 - I went to find this in the cellar and it was not there, so on to the 2010.
January 29, 2016 - Opened to celebrate our company fiscal year end, rich, jammy, sweet blackberry jam, intense blueberry, crowd pleasing juice. Perfect for this kind of function!
November 7, 2015 - High alcohol very pronounced which makes the wine unbalanced. Ripe varietal flavors.
