March 10, 2019 - Dark red fruit, plum, clove, tree bark, forest floor, great silky texture, nice minerality, great length. It was tight at first and needed a couple hours to open up, I’d decant now or wait another 4-5 years.

January 14, 2019 - wasn't loving this upon the pop and pour last night... might just not have been the right wine to follow a vaijra barbera, so left most of it. Tonight so much better. Big Bold with nothing out of place. Still youthful and a little tight. Dark berry profile but with apple skin lift

December 31, 2018 - Very concentrated black fruit with smoked meat, spice and floral hints. Still very assertive tannins that don’t quite align with the fruit, resulting in a firm and almost awkward textures. Might have 91+ point potential if this reaches better harmony, but I’m not confident. Better to cellar longer.

Better on 2nd day when more spice emerged, adding charm and complexity... but the wine was still firm.

December 21, 2018 - This has aged well. It is smoky, musky, layered with anise and dark fruit.

November 9, 2018 - Very youthful at 10 years of age, with a deep red color; no signs of bricking. Not much on the nose, but nice flavors of red fruits and herbs. Quite of bit of a stemmy quality. Firm, grippy tannins makes this wine come across a bit stern. Needs more time?
