  April 21, 2021 - Black tar, mixed with blueberry and blackberry, very lively but still very concentrated, nice balance, lovely finish. Classy wine. My 3rd place and 3rd place overall. Taylor's Steak House Dirty Dozen dinner.

  October 6, 2020 - Assertive blue fruits. Full bodied, viscous and energetic. Blue fruits, acid woven in, finest filigree tannins, great length and fruit presence. Ensure temperature is kept to 18-20 degrees, any higher and the wine and oak get a bit bloated and flabby.

  September 7, 2019 - Drinks at Bo and Mich's (Sydney, Australia): Opened a day before serving, this was still youthful, but already very enjoyable. It had a lovely nose, full of dark plums and blueberries seasoned with Indian wood spices - cardamom I thought - then wafts of dried violet petals shading into perfumy rose - almost like a potpourri packet at points. The palate was starting to come around nicely, but still felt as if it was bursting with youthful energy, with bright and transparent gobs of blue fruit deeply woven together with layers of spice, earth and brambly herb leading into an effortless long, elegant finish. Full of power, yet weightless and absolutely fine-boned. Still really youthfully structured though, with fresh acidity and really fine tannins still forming a noble frame around the fruit. Excellent stuff, but this will only really hit its stride in another 6-8 years at the very least.

  April 16, 2017 - Fruit and violet aroma. It took awhile to open up but delicious plum, red fruit flavours. Paired against the 2006 Grange. Grange took out a slight victory 2:1
