June 24, 2021 - Scored more on potential, drinking more like 92. Is it just an awkward phase? Really green aromatics, slightly charred. Palate is tight tight tight. Let this sleep for 5 years and revisit. (13817/15742)

March 20, 2021 - Batard- decanted for 6 hours but still young. dark ruby color, rich and concentrated. Savory and full body. Dense. Need more time. Big wine

January 8, 2021 - SLDS New Year (Quay, Sydney): Too odd to be a correct bottle. Gin botanicals, butter and yeasty. Didn't blow off with time.

October 18, 2020 - The 09 DRC Richebourg is obviously flattering with the warmth of the vintage translating to a ripe, fleshy, slightly warm red and black cherry nose, the expected spice notes still evolving. Big, rich, supple palate which finishes well. A question of taste, but I preferred the cool, impactful 08 to the more hedonistic 09

June 2, 2020 - DRC Zoom Tasting (Mi Casa): Youthful expressive nose displaying rich concentrated black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, espresso, liquid smoke, strong sap, rose, coffee, charred steak, stem, Vosne spice and limestone mineral. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of perfectly ripe black fruit, rich yet opulent yet pure and precise, also really silky and fluid, a perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long sweet black fruit driven finish with a hint of stem and Vosne spice at the end. Showing better precision than the 09 RSV. This can easily improve for another two or three decades. Perhaps with the best material.
