January 16, 2011 - Cinnamon spice, red fruit. I've liked this in previous vintages, but found this one kind of boring.

October 31, 2010 - Translucent ruby in the glass. Bright red fruit on the nose with effusive notes of cinnamon and baking spice. Similar notes on the palate. Slightly earthy. Fine, chalky tannins and high acidity. Medium body and medium finish.

October 3, 2010 - Certainly not a Burgundy pinot. Loaded with pure, fresh, delicious fruit, highly acidic out of the bottle. An hour later in my glass it was plum and integrated but felt flat. The next day, what was still in the bottle tasted as fresh and vigorous as the first sip the previous day. At this stage, it is definitely an open-and-pour wine. It will be interesting to see it in a couple of years.
