March 28, 2022 - A stunner from the first sip. Actually, before the first sip - as soon as the cork was pulled the aroma just jumped out of the bottle. An incredibly pure, red-fruited, lithe and silky wine. All in perfect balance. At peak for me. Could only be Volnay.

April 30, 2020 - Diluted, with unbalanced earthiness, bright red cherries. What a scam

January 20, 2019 - Superb. Elegant, salty with red fruits, earthy. Perfect balance. A little more tannins than I was expecting but it gives great structure to the wine. This is stunning wine.

January 8, 2018 - It's tasty. Very fragrant, pure and red berries. Drinking nicely now. Perhaps a bit further developed than I would have thought.

July 5, 2017 - Appearance: Bright and clear, it is light ruby in color, with slight garnet rim and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of red fruit of red cherries, raspberry and strawberry, floral notes of violet, maturity notes of mushroom and tobacco, animal notes of game. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium tannin of ripe and silky texture, medium alcohol, medium (-) body and medium intensity flavors of red fruit of raspberry, cherries and fruit cake, maturity notes of tobacco, oak notes of toast. The wine has a medium finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Volnay with a reasonably intense nose showing decent complexity, it is juicy, with ripe red fruit characters dominating but also observing nice development, with the palate showing a lively acidity, similarly juicy flavors of fair concentration and length on the finish. It is ready to drink now and can maintain for about 2-3 years.

March 5, 2011 - A Smattering of Burgundies with an Emphasis on 2008 (K&L Wines, San Francisco and San Francisco Wine Trading Company): Very light color belies a gorgeous nose of red fruit and flowers. Light, finely etched with excellent ripe red fruit with some sweetness and a touch of wood. For its weight, superb intensity and inner mouth perfume. Very well done.
