April 26, 2019 - (Disgorged in the mid 1970’s and probably same blend then as now, 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, but likely a dosage around 9-12 gr/l)
Amber colour with a lovely mature nose showing truffles, butterscotch, dark chocolate and hints of sherry in a positive way. With extended glass time this opens up with flowers and marmalade in a very pleasant way. Palate is intense showing red apples and dried fruit with a nice lemon peel bitterness on the lengthy finish. Showing lots of maturity with its lovely touch of truffles on the nose and the still very fresh and pleasant palate for such an old bottle.

August 9, 2018 - Great wine, particularly at its reasonable price. Lots of tension mixed with a tasty leesy streak. The dry champagne you hope shows up from Central Casting when called for.

June 18, 2016 - Big Champagne, lots of flavor, too much wood which detracted from the taste, golden color, slightly unbalanced, good but not a fav, drank with lobster, would not drink again, reasonable value.

    July 13, 2013 - At least 5 y.o. NV.
A typical Bouzy muscular, smokey character but after few years on cork it looks quite sophisticated and absolutely delicious. Definitely food champagne. I had with roasted pork belly which went really well!
Bernard Tornay one of the best growers in Bouzy and keeps his wines on lees long

November 27, 2011 - Nice golden color and typical yeasty champagne nose. Enjoyable and delicious, especially for the money. The bubbles and style were a little rough around the edges, but it still had plenty of class.
