August 6, 2015 - Beautiful, so finely balanced fruit and acidity, lip smacking and delicious/ cranberry, forest floor and Christmas spice/ pure dry table wine.13%

June 13, 2015 - Uncorked the bottle, no decant, starting showing best after approximately 3 hours. Bright, lively, subtle hints of sweet cherry. light-medium weight and finish. pleasant wine. It is drinking well and should have at least 3-5 years ahead.

March 13, 2015 - Nose of tight red cherry fruit with some floral and spice notes. Palate follows the nose, fairly linear and focused cherry fruit with good floral and spice support. Nice, bright acidity with a somewhat juicy, medium tannic finish. Ok QPR, but nothing to brag about. A nice Burgundy, but nothing that stands out enough to put in this note.

November 22, 2014 - Really like this wine, gracious easy drinking, true savoury enjoyment.

October 30, 2014 - Nose is dark, piquant, pungent, and resinous, displaying archetypal Savigny goût de terroir. A touch rustic and stalky immediately upon entry, but sticky red fruits with dark, soil-inflected overtones quickly envelope the palate and sweeten through the long, sappy, mouth-watering finish. Tannins are not entirely resolved, but thoroughly saturated by the fruit. At $37, only a very slight premium over your standard SLB village, and I think totally worth it. Along with the Auxey-Duresses, my favorite of the Ben Leroux negoce wines tasted, especially from a price/quality perspective.
