July 27, 2017 - Lots of ripe cassis on the nose, something fungal, leather too. Nice mouthfeel with refreshing acidity alongside the ripe cassis, preventing it getting at all jammy. Tasty

December 19, 2016 - Modern (due to merlot and quite roasted/spicy oaky tones) chianti. Medium-light body. Perfect maturity now. Great balance and decent complexity for chianti. A bit too modern for my palate. Better on day 2 with the spicy oaky flavors much less apparent

November 29, 2016 - Very nice, mature Chianti. Quite ripe, with some roasted notes, but not overdone; there's also something quite cool and unforced about this. Nice persistence on the palate, a dusting of tannins, good balance. Nice wine, on its plateau at present, but no hurry to drink

September 14, 2015 - Medium intensity, garnet color.

Developing nose with a medium(+) aroma intensity. Aromas of dried cherry, raisin, prune, fig, gravel dust, oak, cold coffee, stable, leather, tobacco and wet soil.

Dry on the palate with a medium acidity, medium(+) body and tannin. The flavor intensity is medium(+) with flavors of dried cherry, raisin, prune, oak, coffee, vanilla, chocolate and stable. The finish is medium(+) and very dry with some old, murky wood to it.

It's definitely time to drink this wine. Lots of dried fruit action but still with a lush feeling to it.
