May 14, 2018 - Deep red, almost opaque, with red brim. Nose is fruity and nicely developed with oak character and notes of plums, some tobacco and hints of pencil shave. Mouthfeel is full bodied, generous, with good acidity and nicely integrated tannins, and with notes of plums, some tobacco, dark chocolate and coffee. Has really good length. Really nice Pessac!

    Balanserad.

November 28, 2015 - Drank a small glass at a wine fair from a newly opened bottle. Very good but still very young and needs more time in the cellar.

January 15, 2015 - According to the producer this is a blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), but according to the website this is a blend of Merlot (55%), Cabernet Sauvignon (40%) and Petit Verdot (5%). Go figure. What I heard, though, was that this wine was aged in 200% new oak. First the wine was moved to age in 100% new oak barrels and after some time, it was transferred to a new set of brand new oak barrels. I'm not sure whether or not I could hide my feelings of dismay upon hearing this.

Dark cherry red color. Quite unexpressive and dusty nose with aromas of ripe dark fruits, sawdust, savory oak spice and some milk chocolate. The wine is full-bodied, soft and somewhat jammy on the palate with unctuous flavors of milk chocolate, woody bitterness, chocolate milkshake, cola, some jammy cherry-driven red fruit and a little bit of anonymous dark fruit. The wine feels quite flabby and tired with only medium acidity and almost nonexistent tannins. The finish is dry, bitter and warm with flavors of bitter woody character, milk chocolate, some caramel and a hint of tannic grip.

Ugh, no. Where on earth is there any Bordeaux in here? This is just jammy fruit covered in oaky chocolate character. There is no sense of structure whatsoever and even that excessively ripe fruit is pretty much fully overwhelmed by excessive, unctuous new oak flavors. This was frankly quite horrible - not just for a Bordeaux but for a red wine - and I really couldn't finish my tasting sample. Horrible stuff, a disgrace to Bordeaux.
