September 19, 2023 - Both withdrawn with Coravin:
MERODE Corton Bressandes GC: Medium red, tawny rim. sous bois nose, cherry. Only medium weight acceptable concentration, firm and crisp. Very good.

RAPET 08 Corton Pougets GC. A little purer red than the Merode. The fruit in the nose and the palate is younger and fresher than Merode. Licorice on the finish This needs more time as it is quite tense today.

July 1, 2023 - Light mature red colour. Understated, well composed, silky with good intensity. Has the 2008 acidity and is terrific with food.

March 4, 2023 - PNP. Cork soft -wet 1/4th way up. Color is browning. Nose all secondary w nose dominated by cut white mushrooms. Swishing shows light acid and still some tannin tingling the sides and back of the tongue. Sipping shows them same glycerin laden palate w a core of cherry framed by some spice. I think that this is very nice. Tannin suggests that there is some left in the tank but dunno if this will really improve much. Will drink remaining bottle soon

March 1, 2023 - 2008 Prince Florent de Merode Corton-Bressandes ($55 in 2011 on sale). Pale brick, light viscosity; red fruit, mushroom, earthy, mineral nose; mid-body; mid acids/tannins; decent Pinot Noir fruit; slightly hard woody red fruit finish. Needs a little time. 16.5 UC Davis scale, 91 other scales.

May 13, 2022 - Poured immediately after opening, this wine is garnet in color with light body. There's a bit of dust or stone in the mellow, varietal nose. On entry it is delicate with a richness coming through on the midpalate. Hints of both strawberry and stonefruit come through. Overall impression is of elegance and restraint. The finish is rather short, reflecting the only real defect. This would appear to be at its best right now.
