August 24, 2013 - Color: Ruby with minimal bricking at the rim
Smell: Dried cranberries, earth, pipe tobacco, and hints of cedar
Taste: Raspberry, cranberry, with tobacco, blueberries, clove, and spice
Overall: Very Good to Excellent. Light-medium body, med+ acidity, med fruit, with a sense of place and balance that belongs in a fine Rosso di Montalcino. If this were more than $25 it may be hard to justify the cost given the level of complexity. -

September 7, 2012 - Very solid Rosso, drinking perfectly right now. Nose a bit muted, but very earthy notes coming through among a solid base of plum and dark fruit. Tannins are sharp and fine, and race through a long finish. Excellent pairing with the eggplant pizza I made tonight.
