  N: PLUMS, poss notes of roses? Intensity lurking?
  
  P: LM body; NICE, BEAUTIFULLY swtish frt met by a very, VERY slightly astringent acidity which SEAMLESSLY transitions into a LONG, BALANCED finish with an ENTICING tangy/swtness to the very, VERY fine tannins. EXCITING wine, but likely needs consumption sooner rather than later! 13.5% ABV; My EXC+/Exceptional-. 77 pts WS

  September 15, 2016 - Beautiful old nose with tar, campfire smoke, licorice, and mature strawberry. Weathered, but serious. Full, lively plum and red fruit. Licorice and sexy rose petal undertones. Tannins are fully unwound. Gripping acidity on the finish. Not the pinnacle of greatness that old Barbarescos can reach, but expressive and soulful. Would be a hit in any serious lineup, so it was a real treat on a weeknight with homemade lasagna. Drink up.

  July 27, 2008 - Disapointing.
  Nice nose, very nebbiolo like. Rose, licorice, plum and dark cherry. But on the palate this is thin and harsh. Too bad cause the nose was really promising...
