April 20, 2024 - Dark purple red in the glass. Beautiful fragrant cassis and dark berry nose. Beautifully balanced fruit, acidity and mellowed tannins. Lengthy soft finish. Yum!

February 23, 2024 - Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (R&D’s): Double blind. Deep color with a bouquet that shows Bordeaux from the start. Iron, black fruit, tobacco and dried herbs with forest floor undertones. Full-bodied with fine tannins and flavors of black fruit, cigar tobacco and mineral. Graphite and cedar elements emerge with air. Lovely. (R&D)

November 18, 2023 - Wine was cellared at 12 degrees since release and is still youthful .Decanted. Nose of blackberries and mint with a hint of pencil lead. Towards the end of the meal more black fruits with a hint of burnt caramel. Chewy good balance with a long finish. Should be drinking well over the next five years (for well cellared bottles)

July 30, 2023 - Red/black. Lovely complex aroma of plums, pencil lead, tobacco, gingerbread, pine and nutmeg. A little smokey. Lovely flavours of oak, apple, vanilla, blackcurrant, cinnamon, clove and ginger. Very fine. Slightly hot alcohol just now. Should improve.

May 14, 2023 - Last of six (6). Displays dense core of black fruits, plum, currant, blackberry along with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and pencil shavings. Definitely has turned the corner though with tertiary notes poking out. Drink now!

February 25, 2023 - Just lovely. On opening, surprisingly strong - blackcurrant fruit to the fore. Then decanted thru Rabbit 2 hours prior to drinking. Complete, complex and most enjoyable. Just slightly thin/vegetable. No need to wait. Perhaps PnP next time?

February 5, 2023 - This is a great second wine. It’s just about to round the bend from secondary to tertiary. This still has a nice freshness and lift, but the complexity is clearly second wine level and not grand cru. Lovely for a weeknight dinner.
