July 26, 2023 - Great balance of earthy spice and fruit with classic barnyard notes Acid and fine tannins in tandem probably not going to get any better.

January 8, 2021 - Drank very well! Wish I had bought more at the time.

  • Scamber Likes this wine:

January 5, 2020 - Heartwarming Bordeaux. Dark fruit, leather, baking spice, gravel. Rich and open, tannins resolved, very ready to drink. Short finish, wonderfully satisfying for QPR.

December 29, 2019 - Purple hue that opens with bay leaf and anise. Red plum and blueberry fruit upfront while clay pot and baking spices linger on the finish. Lovely balance fruit, tannins and alcohol make this a widely food-friendly wine.

November 25, 2018 - Give this wine 30 minutes to breathe. Medium+ ruby with slight garnet hue and slightly lighter at rim. On the nose black currant, prune, cassis and sugar plum with licorice, baking chocolate, saddle, cedar, graphite and sweet tobacco- molasses overtones. Medium body with medium (but still firm) tannins and a pleasant acidity. The texture is round with a slight rustic nature (coarse). While the aromatics are complex the finish is relatively short. A nice wine, however, I worry that extended aging will cause the rustic edge of this wine to dominate.
