November 27, 2021 - Pnp. Classic cedar, cassis notes on the nose. Purity of fruit on the palate, with interesting tobacco leaf and barnyard secondary notes to add complexity. A little thinner than I remember on the mid-palate, but good persistence in the medium-long finish. Tannins fully resolved. Drink now.

    November 24, 2021 - im dir Vgl klar besser als 04er Leoville-Barton
    ausgeglichen, schöne Länge
Kann noch 10 Jahre weiter reifen

November 15, 2021 - Neil’s Langoa Barton @ Hawksmoor (Hawksmoor, Guildhall): A touch lactic, but not the full on VA others are reporting, more a bottle stink. A touch evolved on the nose, but several stops short of Bovril, and at worst more akin to smoky beef hula hoops. Eases and lifts with air to reveal a classical vintage claret. Really quite lovely in an u showy manner. Very fat and leggy in the glass. Lots here of interest. ****

June 2, 2021 - Decanted for 2 hours and showed very nicely. The discreet performer, this showcases classic claret - nothing loud or overstylised. Textbook blackcurrant and cedar nose with hints of sandalwood, spice, and darker fruits. Quite creamy, but with just a hint of austerity in the palate that adds interest in a sort of teasing way. Finish is delightful, fully integrated tannins. In a very nice place. Not sure it will improve massively, but certainly no rush.

February 14, 2021 - This still has a lot of stuffing, muted upon opening I took a glass out and let the bottle sit the whole day @ 13 degrees and let it sit at room temperature for an hour before dinner.
The nose is on creamy cassis ,cedar and a hint of pencil lead. the mouth is linear and classic claret, black berries and cola and forest floor, graphite, tannins not fully resolved, lovely acidity to give some lift, decent length, there is still enough fruit and stuffing in there to last another 5 years .
Make sure to decant properly if drinking anytime soon.
