June 18, 2021 - Online Blind Tasting: Cabernet Franc plus some Pirates: *** tasting note based on 0,1l bottle. Half of the bottle tasted completely blind on day one, other half tasted two days later ***
    Glass: Zalto Universal
Clear, deep ruby-tawny color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose. Sweet fruit, herbs, spicy.
Dry, high, racy acidity, high tannin, 13% abv, lean medium body.
Fine red fruit, dried herbs, green pepper. Fresh and dense, good balance. Very good grip and tension. Long and fruity finish. Potential for at least 5+ years. Fantastic PQR for this entry level wine. 90-91+

December 21, 2015 - Opened for 30-40 min without a decanter. Nose was quite mute, but some sense of raspberry bouquet. Simple and yet balanced on the palette.

October 10, 2015 - Still drinking nicely. Noticing more greenness in the wine. Rustic, medium bodied, medium acidity. The wine looks garnet colored. It smells like mineral, red fruits, tobacco and floral aromas. Flavors of red fruits, black cherries, tobacco and there is a greenness in the background. The body is medium. The wine has coarse rustic texture and a medium length finish. The wine has medium acidity.

January 25, 2013 - Too far back to remember exact details other than was the second time I've had this, and was a nice enough bottle

August 6, 2012 - Excellent QPR, based on the value seen here. This was purchased by the glass at Marie Bistro. The nose has a sense of blackberry and a hint of pepper. The taste is smooth, slightly acidic, with that same small bit of pepper and blackberry. Like the other reviewers I sensed an earthiness, like an olive tapenade to be present as well.

February 26, 2012 - Lot 0410. This bottle was much better. Not as juicy and fruit forward as the first lot but perhaps a touch fresher with crunchier fruits. Still an unbelievable QPR. 89-90

February 12, 2012 - Bright purple/red colour. Soft aromas of dark fruit, earth, smokiness, and a gentle floral aroma.
Flavours of plum and cherry with a faint tartness to them. Earthy, with slightly chewy tannins. Also a nice olive tapenade and peppery spice on the finish. Juicy but starting to dry out. Medium length to finish. A bit of a rustic feel to the wine. Medium bodied.

February 3, 2012 - Lot 0410. I am going to go for a flawed bottle because it was so completely different from the last ones I tried which were simply marvelous. This was the first bottle I tried from the second lot - the producer was in a hurry and put on different ill-fitting capsules and omitted the biodynamic sticker on the back. The wine was resinous and had some glue aromas with cherries - yum! On the palate thin fruit, tart and drying tannins on the finish.
