January 8, 2016 - Big wine but moderately corked.

March 4, 2012 - Acid is pronounced. I thought it was Sangiovese. Lacked sense of place, varietal character. Not bad but definitely not the greatest bottle from this producer.

December 22, 2011 - Appearance: Bright and clear, deep ruby with paler rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, medium intensity and developing aromas of black cherry, plum, prune, butterscotch, gamey, smoke, cedar.
Palate: Dry, medium (-) acidity, medium (-) tannin of soft and fine-grained texture. Medium alcohol and medium body, with medium intensity flavors of black cherry, plum, cedar, prune and smoke. Medium length.
Conclusion: Acceptable quality Rioja red but without noticeable ageing style that should accompany a gran reserva. Simple and reasonable in intensity, with reasonable length. The wine has nothing outstanding and a rather disappointment. Ready to drink now and can potential age for another 3-5 years.

December 18, 2011 - This wine is reaching the end of its life. It was still good, but a hint of plumb.

November 5, 2011 - Tempranillo or Grenache/Garnacha (Farpointe Cellar): Dried red fruit and saw dust on the nose, with hints of spice and floral notes. Firm tannins on the palate, with lots of juicy red fruit and spice. It adds some oak in the middle, and has a good floral finish.
