January 22, 2024 - I was a little surprised. This was my last bottle and when I had it in 2022, most of the fruit was gone. Well the fruit returned and when I decanted, very little sediment. Still past it's prime, but a nice improvement from my last experience.

April 6, 2022 - I would agree with others that it's time has passed. When opened it was very acidic. After a two hour decant the acid taste subsided but there was very little fruit to enjoy. At one time this was a 92 to 94 point wine. If only we could have a crystal ball to tell us how wines will develop over time.

July 23, 2021 - My last bottle, and I found it to be well past its prime. Still alive, but nothing of note and certainly not what I expect of V29... Hopefully, if you have any left they have fared better than this. Seems to be specific to the 2008, as other vintages on either side are still kicking...

October 27, 2020 - Moderate sediment. Smooth, aging gracefully. Almost a sweetness to the red and blue fruit. Very pleasant, but not necessarily exciting.

February 25, 2020 - Wine has passed from this life. This was a split so not sure on 750. Don’t wait on it.

April 28, 2018 - I enjoyed this more than I did on the first go round. A nicely mature and well balanced bottle of Napa Cabernet. Not sure this will continue to improve but should hold well for another 5-10 years. This was the WOTN for our brother & sister in-law who don't usually get to drink cabs with any age. Sort of a soft, supple cab, with some leather, tobacco and earth notes and dark plum and red raspberry fruit. Nice but not a lot of additional complexity.

March 16, 2018 - This is one of my least favourite vineyard 29 wines I have had ( I generally am a fan) One cannot doubt the concentration and the purity behind it but it has a somewhat vegetal flavor and doesn’t have the balance and integration of the best Cali cabs. Red and black fruits, smoke, mocha, bell pepper. Lots of glycerin but doesn’t really come together. Chewy and heavy. Maybe over time this develops but I am a bit skeptical.

February 9, 2018 - Decanted and poured pretty quickly, similar to the estate bottling we tried last week this wine is also surprisingly very soft and easy drinking. Dark fruits and some alcohol on the nose, it on the palate is is. Dry round and smooth, no grip or complexity but also nothing objectionable. No secondary or tertiary flavors coming through here and not a lot of structure to age - time to drink up.

December 17, 2017 - Fabulous Napa cab that is drinking very nicely right now. Tons of black fruit which is tempered by good acidity. I wish I had more!
