March 24, 2024 - In a great spot for me. Glints of secondary and tertiary notes, but still lots of fruit left in this bad boy. No rush on this guy, but very very enjoyable right now. Maybe slightly lacking in finish for me. One of the better 08s from Napa that I had.
November 18, 2023 - This was an excellent showing; it’s been in my cave for 5 years and got lost in my burgeoning, cramped, too small cellar; still a bit of heat, but it was all there.
May 20, 2023 - Took to Europe so we did not have to drink “ boat wine”. Decanted for 46 minutes. Seemed to be drying out, not much fruit left, must be past it’s prime.

January 11, 2022 - Amazing bottle ,well integrated but still a lot of fruit, very silky. Deep ruby red with secondary notes of tobacco and herbs showing in balance with blackberries and raspberry jam; love this wine
July 25, 2021 - Consistent with past 2 bottles, but more refined, no more alcoholic heat, some secondary notes of herbs, raspberries and plums. This is a beautiful effort.
May 29, 2021 - Paled slightly against the ‘13 Kata that I had 3 nights ago

November 9, 2020 - Delicious, rich, well integrated tannins, lots of still bright fruit
June 8, 2020 - Popped and poured through aerator into our glasses and decanted the rest. Deep purple with ruby rim. Soft nose of fruit. Palate of dark berry, violet and earth. Ultra smooth and velvety. After two hours the wine closed up some and tannins emerged. Very Bordeaux-like and reminded me of the 2004 Lafite I had some months ago. 94-95 still young.
