July 16, 2023 - I agree with most prior comments. More tart then most WS wines, but still kind of savory. Surprisingly long finish and depth but not for everyone.

August 28, 2019 - Nose with tart red fruit, strawberry and plum, developed with some VA, not a whole lot of complexity. Plate has some cranberry/craisin component with a little stewed strawberry, fairly acidic, Tannin feels hard for 10 years out, get a little heat from the EtOH on the back end, better with food, probably at plateau and I dont see this bottle improving further, drink up.

March 27, 2019 - Decent nose, suspect palate. High acid but also hollow, and by the time we got to a second glass the remainders of the bottle had turned cloudy and oxidative.

November 29, 2018 - In a good spot. Didn’t notice the smoke and had forgotten about the whole brouhaha until I started reading the notes. As noted in many notes, this is darker and more understated than most WS wines.

November 23, 2017 - From magnum. Medium rosewood color. At first, the nose seems more brooding than any Williams Selyem wine I have had (and I've had my fair share). There's tons of dark fruit here, with some sweetly woody aromas and a whiff of rosemary. The palate starts with more luscious black and red fruit, which persists through the faintly acidic finish. This is good, a bit different than the peach-and-kola house style, but I was hoping for a bit more tertiary nuance after nearly a decade in the cellar. In its drinking window for the next 5 years.

April 27, 2016 - Pretty impressive. This vineyard usually delivers and is one of our favorites. Pure and glass like, so smooth. Elegant. Tannins resolved and a touch of sweetness.

December 28, 2015 - Enjoyed this bottle a bit less than the one I recently had. Perhaps it was the pairing. Saved some for the second day with the hope of a bit more finesse. No luck.
