Community Tasting Notes 7

January 22, 2021 - There was some signs of seepage with this bottle so I was a little worried but it showed beautifully. Plenty of life left with fresh vibrant citrus, oyster shell, honeysuckle, flint, and melon. The palate is crisp, approachable, and balanced with a light body and attractive stony white fruit and mineral complexity. A gorgeous wine that will continue to age effortlessly.

November 9, 2011 - Very austere, wet stone minerals, citrus and a faint hint of spice.

November 1, 2011 - Dry and minerally, assertive and earthy. Very good flavours and finish.
    4/5

June 4, 2011 - Opened to have with briny PNW oysters, and worked fine, of course. Salinic lemon/grapefruit. I actually would have preferred more minerality and a more focused acidity than this was giving me. Thin, and the acidity all seemed back-loaded onto the finish where it detracted rather than energized the wine.

April 18, 2011 - Pale color, medium to light bodied. Nose has some honey and surprisingly little fruit aromas, not impressive at all. Very prominent acidity, bone dry, with minerals and lemon / grapefruit finish. For me the body of the wine is too weak to match the high acidity, which makes this wine characteristic but far from balanced or elegant.
