October 31, 2018 - shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. i had been holding on to my pinot's to share with marty. particularly this bottle since we were introduced to dutton-goldfield together at the pinot festival in nyc a few years ago. since marty moved to florida, there have been fewer opportunities to follow up with these plans. since there was some concern regarding longevity, decided to pop and pour. the wine proved to be sound. dark color. generous nose. silky mouthfeel. substantial body. lacking the distracting raciness that one often finds in cali pinot. lots of black cherry fruit. well integrated tannins. minimal acidity. substantial sediment adhering to bottle wall which did not detract from enjoyment of the wine. well stored bottles should continue to show well for a bit longer. excellent performance considering that we are ten years out from the vintage.

February 13, 2017 - Pop and pour. Silky smooth, still in its prime, cherry cola, cassis, and a little bramble on the nose, long finish, drinking well.

October 17, 2015 - Very dark ruby color. Black plum and black cherry aromas. Enters the mouth with bright acidity, tasty fruit, a backdrop of tannin, and a fairly silky feel. The swallow adds a hit of red raspberry to a long trail of fruit, acid, and tannin, topped by a rising tide of juicy saliva. Overall, deliciously enjoyable.

January 3, 2013 - I've always liked this Pinot. Even fruit, nice finish. Was perfect with a pork loin.
