November 21, 2021 - Chave Hermitage Dinner (Greenwood - Highwood IL): Single blind in 98/97/96/95 flight. Black and red cherry with a nuanced and complex array of mostly fresh fruit. Good+ concentration, but the wine's seamless harmony is the star here. I expected this to the the best of the flight, and was not disappointed.

September 2, 2021 - Another great vintage for Chave. Still youthful, but ripe, dense, and expressive with lots of raspberry and strawberry fruit, and nice acidity. In a great place right now and continued to improve as the night progressed. Better with a bit of air for sure.

July 17, 2021 - Dull red. Incredible perfume, spice, and herbs. Gloriously supple, smoky, complex black fruit, great acidity, and fading tannins. Splendid and in full blossom. The essence of Chave symmetry and elegance. Back on form and so much better than a bottle a year ago.

April 16, 2021 - Expressive and yet delicate with red and black fruit, earthy and some meaty notes with a granite spine. Really good now. Classic Chave!
