September 10, 2007 - I opened this bottle Sunday evening when Allred and his fiance came over. From the spectacular 2002 vintage in the Loire valley. As expected, this reserve bottling had a definite sweetness to it although not in the dessert wine category. Light yellow color. I served this chilled but it was better as it warmed slightly. Lush fruit with some tropical notes. Moderately thick texture. 89-90 points.

December 17, 2005 - Breussin's Réserve is a huge step up in quality from his disappointingly simple basic demi-secs. This shows apple butter in the mouth — shades of noble rot, almost — with beautiful spice on a long finish. Absolute heaven with Humboldt Fog goat cheese. Organically grown grapes.

June 22, 2005 - Very fresh nose of swimming pool, turning to green apple and a little bit of kiwi. In the mouth, more apple notes and a little bit of lime with a slightly sweet finish. Good, but the last two bottles of this I've consumed have been below previous showings.

    May 28, 2005 - Corked. Typically a great 92 point off-dry wine. Bummer.
