November 12, 2014 - This wine started singing only after being opened for two days. The color deepened and the wine shrugged off a touch of clove and candy sweetness. The core taste includes a blackberry acidity, rich black cherry, and firm background tannins, Definitely scales up to a reserve level in color, size, how mouth filling the taste is, and how persistent the aftertaste is. After being opened for 6 days, the final taste adds a round and silky feel.
October 30, 2014 - A very good, if typical wine. Lots of fruit in the glass, even 6 years out, with fresh red fruits of cherry, cranberry and raspberry with a hint of cola and spice. Overall, a quaffable and enjoyable wine, but not very complex.
May 3, 2014 - Typical Carneros Pinot nose, dark red fruit, light oak and some sort of skunk smell...
January 3, 2014 - Decanted and then drank throughout the evening. Deep red Opaque moving away from the rim actually about three layers of color. Drink now. This wine will not improve anymore. Complex nose shows aging with hints of leather and cedar box and dark red current fruit. This wine tastes pleasant with aspects of aging particularly a tart acidity unbalanced with the faded fruit. Leather. A short finish that shows a bit of bitterness and drying tannins.
October 28, 2013 - Rich full bodied pinot with great balance. Wonderful cherry aroma with earthy notes trailing red fruit flavors on a medium finish. This wine is a real pleasure which makes you want to pour another glass

March 16, 2013 - Carneros pinot. Deep color. Showing signs of age. Nose:Rich red fruit and earthiness. Cooler climate pinot. Lots of power in all aspects. Rich and wonderfully balanced, beginning to become its own thing-aged pinot. Dark cherry fruit, solid acidity. Complex mushroomy earthiness. Exellent sweet finish.
March 16, 2013 - Full bodied and lush with cherries, hints of earth. Long, full finish with structure. Excellent!
February 8, 2013 - On the nose, aromas of cherry, earth, and cedar notes. Dusty earth on the palate, along with red fruit and a bit of tar (upon opening; faded as it opened up). Enjoyable. Needed about an hour to really open up and let the fruit come forward. Would drink by the end of 2013.
