April 10, 2016 - This wine is an interesting dichotomy: Tart fruit and brown earth. Tart fruits on the nose with a very prominent earthy component, almost sulphurous like a fresh struck match. Palate basically mirrors the nose, tart fruits and earth, but here is more forest floor: leaves, compost, soil, manure (in a good way!), etc.

January 1, 2015 - Clear garnet red color of medium intensity and medium body. Nose of sagebrush blooms, allspice, wild strawberries, tart cherries, dark plums and lightly toasted oak. On the palate this wine was well balanced with medium plus acid to frame the nuanced fruit , herbs and wood. A California pinot for burgundy lovers. not over done.. Excellent value for the the price point.. Outstanding

October 18, 2014 - On the nose, Strawberry, raspberry, soil and hint of cherry.
On the palate, a typical US pinot. Round and nice but still with a bite and a present alcohol heat. The normal sweetness is there.
