July 4, 2019 - Dekantert. Vidunderlig fra første glass. Helt i balanse. Bare behag.

April 6, 2019 - Such intense aromatics. Blackcurrant, plums, cassis and a tinge of green (which I absolutely adore). Tannins are present, but oh so soft and fine. The critics say that 04 is not a great year in BDX, but I have enjoyed every 04 I have had and absolutely loved this. Will need to source for more of these...

March 29, 2019 - Absolutely great bottle of wine. Possibly the best Merlot I’ve had and makes me want to explor Pomerol more. Paired with grilled prime tenderloin. Decanted for an hour+. Red current and vanilla bean on the nose. Soft tannins, sour black and red cherry on the pallet.

March 2, 2019 - Decanted 1hr30. Showing some paling on the rim. An intense bramble, blackcurrant nose with clear liquorice and some deep herbal notes. The palate is full with full fine tannins, plenty of fresh acidity and blackberry fruits. The wine is impressive but shows a little lack of balance, though with good persistance. I suspect that this wine is now fully in its drinking window and may struggle to retain balance as it continues to age. Drink now-2021.

February 21, 2019 - Floral, cassis, young currant bouquet. Initial red fruit, violet, and then black berries with slight bitterness and truffle. Mouth coating, with long and warm finish. Slight acidic / tannins, felt young. Developed slight herby, loamy, earth. Believe this will get better with a few more years.

[2nd try on 26 Mar 2019: largely same tasting notes - this time around slightly on the dry side. Still feel a few more years should do this good.]
