March 27, 2023 - Spiced cranberry on the nose, slightly savory on the palate with notes of plum, sous bois, mild tannins, pretty short finish. Felt slightly on the decline but actually preferred it on night 2.

February 2, 2018 - Light bodied, spicy, not a typical Pinot. Not my cup of tea.

September 23, 2014 - Interesting Pinot. Of course younger and simpler than older brothers chacra but good burgundy ascents. Looks like a good village or appellation.

    Color. Light medium ruby
Nose. Plants, fresh, mineral, little fruit
Palate. Mineral, little oak, round tannins. Good now.

June 28, 2014 - Pinot Noir Night 1st Installment (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Pop and poured.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium- intensity, with aromas of stems, branches, sweet candy, and raspberry. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, medium- tannins, medium- body. Medium flavor intensity, with flavours of stems and branches, sweet candied raspberry, strawberry, red cherries. Medium- finish.
I guessed that this was a Beaujolais Cru. Interestingly, I kept the bottle chilled overnight with air, and on Day 2 it did develop into something slightly different.
Day 2: Less of the stems and branches. Body a bit fuller, now medium. Darker fruit character developed. Some spice.
Interesting and intriguing Pinot Noir from the makers of Sassicaia. From vineyards in Rio Negro in the south of the dry and cool climate Patagonian desert.

(Bodega Chacra Pinot Noir Barda) Made from new plantings near the barda, or ridge, where the soils are less fertile, this garnet-colored wine offers a good, juicy introduction to the Chacra style. Pretty aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and citrus peel are followed by a light-to-medium-bodied palate with effusive, almost confected cherry and bright-strawberry fruit, light earth, clear minerality, and acidic focus. Best enjoyed with food, particularly lean dishes with exotic or sweet spices. Terroir: Bodega Chacra
