December 24, 2023 - Wynns Shiraz of this era have held up very well. This '97 is a close second to my favourite, the '93.

May 25, 2023 - Flavours of compost and sour cherry, with a hint of burnt toast. Drinkable, but not really enjoyable.

December 30, 2020 - Broken cork (middle); decanted and drunk over 2.5 hours. Brown- purple rim. Medicinal, mushroom, burnt cherry and brambles nose. Very subdued at onset but very nicely evolved over the course of dinner. Plum, brambles, cooked cherries, leather, some rose, faint tobacco. Slightly plum and a little tired after 2 hours. Tannins fully faded and a little light on back palate. Very enjoyable estate Shiraz, but drinking window fading. Maybe max 2 years to still enjoy. Drink up.

June 9, 2017 - Excellent, a relief after last one being past it or corked. This is last bottle and superb.
    Colour: dark garnet, light edges
Bouquet: raspberry, blueberry and pepper, lovely soft aromatics
Palate: as bouquet, soft tannins, very savoury berry, long clean finish.

June 4, 2017 - corked, or just kept too long, but past it
