July 18, 2018 - Great showing for this wine. Similar notes to our last tasting, but much smoother. The color is so dark, full body but elegant, long finish. The dark fruit and eucalyptus really stand out. Decent acidity, alcohol well hidden. Excellent wine. Drink now or over next few years.

August 14, 2016 - Perfectly stored since release. No getting away from the main attribute here is heat. Setting that aside as much as possible, very dark berries, cocoa and some aussie green (eucalyptus). Went quite well with rack of lamb. I would suggest drinking up.

November 30, 2013 - The Twelveth Annual Stonefields Dinner (Guelph, ON): Bright, red berry fruited, with mint/eucalyptus and some blueberry. Tannin are prevalent on this and the alcohol and acid bite slightly on the finish, though again this is well hidden given this is 15.5%+.

November 30, 2013 - The Twelfth Annual Stonefields Dinner (Guelph, ON, Canada): Pure dark fruit on the nose…..
The palate shows blackberry, black cherry, mint, eucalyptus, spice and prune.
The finish is long and very complex.
Again….I love how Drew Noon is able to hid the alcohol on these wines as they are all 15.5+%. The balance they are able to achieve is amazing…talented winemaker.

April 17, 2011 - Powerful. Like all other Noon's i've enjoyed, it's a beast of a wine. Big is an understatement with gripping tannins and a heavy fist of intense fruit. Has some acidity so the palette shows some freshness too. Not for the faint of heart. Easily can age another 10yrs without batting an eye

August 13, 2006 - Wonderful, big wine that is well balanced and soft. Blackish dark maroon. Amazing aromatics, good acidity. Wonderful palate of cedar, clove, dark berries, mint, and eucalyptus. There is some tannin to resolve and a bit of heat on the finish (which takes a bit off the score), but overall it should drink very well until at least 2020.
