May 25, 2014 - Leathery, will concentrated earthy smell. Definitely mature and drinking now.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are fast. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.
December 19, 2012 - Nose of dark fruit, earth and leather. Muted fruit, but certainly balanced with soft tannins. 16 guests went through a magnum in short order, so it was popular with the group.
July 2, 2011 - tar and leather nose, no tannin, very smooth- reminded me of older barolo-a pleasure with pepper/coriander grilled tuna
August 17, 2008 - Leather, kirsch and a wonderfull note off sea breeze. Plenty off sweet fruit and soft tannins. Not the longest finish, but nice and mature.
January 18, 2007 - GReat wine that really developed with a little air. Rich fruit surrounded and layered with earth and chocolate notes. With time some nice leather and raspberry started to come out. 3.5/5
April 26, 2003 - Bright disc. Deep ruby robe with red rim. Clean nose, showing intense spice box, cranberry, blackberry, roasted herbs, leather and dust. Medium-bodied on the palate, with similar flavors as for the nose. The tannins are very sweet and the generous mid-palate leads to a long, smooth finish.
