January 23, 2022 - Beautiful deep reddish-purple color. No signs of age. Really hit a high point after 4 hours in the decanter, but it was good enough at two hours. Loads of blackberry and cassis, with vanilla and chocolate, and some dill and bell pepper. Well balanced with acidity and tannins. Think that I'll hold the final bottle for 5 years or so, as I think this might still improve a little.

February 22, 2021 - Really outstanding at this stage. Dark fruit, smooth mouthfeel, earthy feel starting to come in on the finish.

April 29, 2020 - Tasting after 1-1/2 hours in the decanter. Pretty, dark purple color all the way to the rim. Red fruits and bell pepper on the nose. Crisp acidity makes the red and black fruits "pop" in your mouth. Some sort of vegetable component too (beets??). Tannins are medium and acidity is medium+. Longish finish. Should go another 3-5 years, I would think.

December 26, 2019 - Rich and powerful with zippy tannins.
