November 11, 2020 - From Coravin. Dusty, spicy, leather, hints of red berries, slight toast, with time the fruit note grows and is joined by a touch of almost toffee apple (?) & a smidge of volatility. In the mouth it's juicy, a little red berry and herbaceous notes, cats rasp tannins on the mid palate, finishes warm and tertiary with leather, baked earth, a smidge of citrus peel bitterness and gains breadth. Rather nice.

November 23, 2019 - Pre-Thanksgiving Family Wine Night: A nice Beaucastel, but overshadowed by the others in a vertical tasting. Nice hints of chocolate and caramel. May be a bit past it’s prime, but otherwise good.

April 28, 2019 - This one only woke after being in the decanter for 120 minutes.
Even then, it was tired but the texture was plush and typical for beaucastel. Flavours were a but flat and ferrous.

I would say this is past peak, based on the bottle that had a remarkably perfect seal with minimal soak of the cork
    Single piece cork.

Drink up, this appears to be going down.

November 17, 2018 - There might have been a little something wrong on the nose. Got better with time on the glass. Medium bodied, soft tannins and medium length. This is a good wine but not very exciting.
