July 27, 2023 - What a fantastic suprise this one was. Perfectly ripe wine with silky tannins, nice minerality and this unexpected sweet inner fruitcore which makes it still so enjoyable right now. Nothing really to add to jour et nuits tasting notes.
Old school winemaking with great representation of this lovely st. estephe terroir. You really taste and feel that this wine was made in the vineyard and not in the lab.

July 5, 2021 - Second bottle of an OWC-12. In fact, by far better than the Sociando-Mallet 2006, we had just before.

June 30, 2021 - First bottle of an OWC-12 auctioned in 2021-06. No risk no fun! PnP. Clearly upper shoulder ("IN"). Cork fine (3 mm soaked and very elastic). Some sediment. Only 12,5 vol. % Alc.. This is pure velvet. Some fruit left in the mid-palate. The finish is more or less dry. What a nice surprise for a little Cru Bourgeois of Saint-Estèphe after 26 years. Price point ridiculous low (22 € / bottle all fees included).

June 28, 2020 - Perfectly filled bottle, cork about 10% wet. Decanted and served about 30 minutes later (big sediment crust on the shoulder). Not very expressive on the nose, would probably have been much more if decanted for several hours. A lot of juice in the mouth with fruit still present and delicious rounded tanins. Very pleasant if a bit short. Not at all fading, mature wine that will probably stay on this plateau for some years.

June 16, 2014 - Bu fin avril , c'est toujours aussi bon. Les tanins sont fondus, ronds et enrobés.
    Belle longueur en bouche
    Très bon RQP

June 29, 2013 - From a magnum. Lots of sediments. Dark color and dark St. Estephe aromas with earth and minerals. A real mouthful, but also soft and polished. Noticable tannins, typical for the 95 vintage. A harmonious and powerful wine at its peak. Much better than expected from this rather unknown chateau.

January 30, 2010 - Potent nose with earthy notes. Distinctly bordeaux-like with cedar and pencil shavings. Medium bodied with sweet fruit which almost but not quite balance the dry tannins.
