Community Tasting Notes 7

April 27, 2018 - Nose was initially very tertiary and palate leaned heavily toward secondary with some soft red fruit that was framed in classic Gevrey structure. With about 1.5 hours aeration in the glass, the nose became very focused and bright with leather, iodine, light mushroom and pure red fruit that was most enticing. Palate echoed the nose with time and made a fantastic accompaniment to pork tenderloin in mustard sauce. After about 2.5 hours it lost the magic and tightened right up and the fruit dropped but the bottle was practically empty so no harm done! Good things come to those who wait on Christian Serafin...

August 28, 2016 - my last bottle. work wet to top. color bricking. this is secondary but retains a core of cherry fruit under its robe of acid. quite nice with salmon/mushroom dish but a bit acerbic alone

August 20, 2014 - A much much better bottle than the one we had a month ago(Papies 87) and full of round rich fruit. The nose was very Burgundian, with strawberry notes, open and aromatic. Good fruit on the palate and good length. very healthy! 92

July 25, 2014 - Definitely one to drink now, and hurry up. Has a beautiful nose , strawberries, red fruits, light earth. But the palate is not there. The fruit is drying out and the wine doesn't handle staying open for long. Good bottle, solid cork and good levels. Drink ASAP.

December 3, 2011 - Lovely nose, but the taste reveals its age, a little dry finish. I would drink this as soon as possible (this was my last bottle). Yet, for what it is, this is lovely.
