April 1, 2021 - intense, dark red; right after opening strong age tone in the nose which mostly evaporated after decanting on hour+; very intense fruit on the palate; at least this bottle was not as enjoyable as earlier ones
February 10, 2018 - plum red; fruity nose, some peaches; an explosion of aromas on the palate, elegant sweetness, impressive backbone and good finish; in amazing shape now, opened 90 minutes before consumption but did not decant
November 25, 2016 - Consistent with my last notes. Good Priorat, perfect PQR.
April 20, 2016 - Nothing to add to my last note. Wonderful Priorat which really makes me looking Forward to open it's bigger brother in several years. Drinks nicely now, but can be kept for many more years. Might not improve much but will certainly keep this wonderful, powerful yet elegant mixture of fruit, slate, smoke and herbs. Really nice wine for Priorat Lovers with a very good PQR.
November 24, 2015 - Glass: Riedel Vinum Syrah
One Glass poured with Coravin from new bottle.
Clear, deep ruby color. Medium intense and quite youthful nose full of dark cherries, tobacco, some oak. Dry, but with lot of sweetness from extract , good acidity and velvet tannins, quite juicy, medium+ body and intense aromas of dark fruits (black cherries), dark chocolate, coffee. Medium+ finish. Certainly at its peak but will stay there for several more years.
September 30, 2015 - decanted for one hour; quite fruity with slightly dominant acid; medium body; do not expect substantial improvement
September 8, 2014 - My previous bottle was better. I still have 2 left, but I should not keep them any longer. This wine is not improving anymore and is very sweet today!
August 15, 2014 - I think this is a bit past it- raisiny and too acidic.
August 17, 2013 - First impressions on the nose is alcohol and at 15% no surprise. Light smooth and fruit but seems to be orange zest and coke undertones, a little too "sangria". Whilst ok very one dimensional and not improved by food, actually a little too thin for food. My wife liked it!!
October 8, 2011 - Fruity and full with strong notes of white pepper and spice. Soft. Balanced, with a long finish.
