Community Tasting Notes 1

March 29, 2011 - (14%) A wine I brought back from my honeymoon this is the oldest Chardonnay I’ve had to date. Brilliant golden dusk sunset in color. Nose of butter and pear with sweet fruit and melon rind overtones. Plush and tasty on the palate, a bit candied, with white pear, sweet peach and stone fruit flavors. The mid-palate turns rich with hints of spice before a creamy finish that lingers and last nicely. Balanced acidity throughout with nice complexity. Very enjoyable! Drinking well now and nothing here to say it is headed downhill anytime soon…
