June 11, 2022 - Still going well. Simple and straightforward. No reason to hold.
July 6, 2017 - Clean, fresh new world pinot noir. Fully developed and delicious. Should be good through 2020 at least.
August 15, 2013 - Nice light color. Really struggling with this wine. Not sure what I'm smelling... Light vanilla? Maybe a little lightly toasted oak? Some cherry. Palette seems to lack fruit and tastes somewhat stemmy. The finish is excessively dry. The more I examine this and the more air it gets the less impressed I am.
June 14, 2013 - CA pinot all the way. Medium deep red to the rim. Powerful dark red fruit nose with a strong Pinot ID. Nice luscous mouthfeel with strong cola and red raspberry flavors (don't get any cherry), crisp acid that persists on the soft tannins exdended sweet fruit finish. Carefully made and nicely balanced. I like this more than the Hahn SLV which is similar in structure and flavors. Get more.
May 17, 2013 - Very drinkable. A nice soft wine with low tannins, somewhat fruity with flavors of cherry and raspberry.
March 30, 2013 - Very strong and unique fruity smells. Cherry blossom. A bit moldy leather for me but typical to Pinot. Long lingers and light finish on the palate.
March 19, 2013 - Fairly heavy pinot. Pair with heavier than usual fare.
February 21, 2013 - Beautiful color. On the nose strong notes of red berries and vanilla with hints of strawberries and light minerals.
Very supple on the palate, round and complex.
Great finish balanced by a very good acidity.
this one's a really nice pinot noir. food friendly.
December 26, 2011 - Mid-brick; stemmy varietal nose (open-top fermenter?); light wood; mid-soft body; decent flavor; round soft finish. Food wine. Lighter sauces.
