February 1, 2015 - Very good and was actually much better after 3 days opened. Dry fruits, some pear, very light oxidation adding complexity. Very good acidity and less exotic fruits than in recent vintages.

July 23, 2014 - Excellent! Intense nose of pear, quince and honey. In the mouth it's excellent combination of rich extract yet at the same time light and feathery, with both richness and high acidity. Some buttery lemon curd on the finish with even a touch of something spicy and caramelized. Overall, complex and perfectly balanced. This keeps improving in the glass, so I'm increasing my score from 93 to 94.

November 26, 2013 - Bright nose of mineral, peaches, pears, with a hint citrus and something very distinctive that I can't quite put into words that is almost a defining feature of the wine. Taste of honey, lemon, and tea. My third bottle. A fascinating alternative to Chardonnay.

February 29, 2012 - Lemon color. Upon opening the main flavor is lemon which quickly melts and balances with other subtle fruit flavors. Very balanced both in flavor and acidity. Medium body and freshing.

October 12, 2011 - First Hungarian/Tokaji/Furmint varietal wine tasted. Served at refrigerator temp (40's F). Light gold color with initially restrained nose of apple fruit. Somewhat round in mid palate. On warming up closer to 50'ish there was a lot more going on; nose and palate really opened up and revealed a lot of honey notes. Deceptive since this is very dry wine, but so well balanced that the fruit managed to assert itself. Low alcohol (12.5% listed) probably helps to give this greater balance. Perhaps the first fuller bodied, truly dry, low-alcohol white I've had. Moderate-strong acidity on the finish with moderate minerality. Reminds me a bit of an imaginary blend of riesling and rkatstiteli but more full bodied. And describing as an imaginary blend doesn't do justice to the character of this wine. It's very distinctive. Good appertif wine but even better with chicken stew, cheddar cheese topped with sliced dried date bars. Ready to drink now but even though this is already has several years of bottle age it could probably stand more. Serious producer and serious wine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

    *Rated VG (Very good)
