April 23, 2022 - Decanted 2 hours. Nice typical bordeaux that over delivers at its initial price point. Black fruit, cassis, red berries, wet stone, and bordeaux dust. Tannins present still with a bit of wood still showing, this was well received at a dinner party where grilled beef was served. Nice qpr.

April 15, 2022 - Decanted two (2) hours. Deep purple in color with aromas of plum, blackberry, black cherry, cocoa dusty earth undertones. Inviting and open for business, tightly woven structure has evolved nicely giving way to supple presence on the palate. Warm black fruit is supported with desired acidity that evolves to evenly measured finish. As others have noted, pretty nice effort here at this price point.

March 11, 2022 - Popped and poured, and you knew you were in for a treat as soon as the bottle opened, as the aromas of candied plums and baking spice wafted up. 100% merlot. Medium body, slightly sweet finish, pure pleasure. Abv 15% covered. Supposedly not for long keeping, and early reviews suggest it was out of balance or overly oaked. But tonight this was a real treat: bought for $10 plus Acker Merrill's premium, a single bottle lot. Wish I had a dozen!

September 2, 2020 - This is why I usually buy some of the lesser chateau in great vintages. Nice right bank that over delivers. Black fruits and berries, some leather and forest floor, tannins resolving with some still noticeable cedar. Not complex, but a solid wine for the price. Will outlast the ct drinking window it seems.

November 10, 2019 - Ten year CdP and Bordeaux retro tasting (with ringers). Hosted by Grinner.

Bordeaux Flight Three - Wine One:

Rock solid, if uninspiring, Right Bank Bordeaux. Quite extracted, with a healthy smattering of lumber.
