January 1, 2019 - Quite a bit of sediment in the glass with a medium ruby red. A bit stewed on the nose with plums, spices and cedar. Medium tannins (5/10) with a medium body. A bit sweet on the palate with a little olive, white pepper and some plums. Medium to medium plus finish. Drink now.
November 21, 2015 - This wine has steadily improved. Cherries and berries on nose and palate. Nice balance of acid and oak. Really enjoyable.
August 21, 2013 - 2nd bottle and cork this time is fine. Still better when decanted. Still nice color but nose this time is just all right
August 18, 2013 - Cork broke in bottle and had to decant. Nice color and aroma and better next day
February 13, 2012 - Structured and complex for syrah. Not heavy on the fruit which I like. Well balanced tannins. Love this wine.
November 1, 2011 - minerally, a bit thin, rated similarly a year ago although some improvement. disappointing finish. Don't think it will improve.
May 9, 2011 - tart cherries, moderate oak. a bit thin and some heat on the finish. hoping it will improve with some time, not optimistic
December 2, 2010 - Had this at a friends house last week and loved it! Just bought 4 off WTSO...my lucky day. Will post detailed tasting note when arrives.
